“Christmas Is “About The Truth”
What is Christmas really about?
The power of Christianity is not in the birth of Jesus but in His
death and resurrection.
Isaiah 9:2 ESV
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness,
John 18: 36-38 ESV
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world.
If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have
been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews.
But my kingdom is not from the world.” Then Pilate said to
him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am
a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I
have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth.
Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
Pilate said to him, “What is truth?”

The Greek word for “truth” is aletheia.
The Hebrew word for “truth” is emeth.
Truth is divine revelation that comes from God which
corresponds to reality, unchanging, absolute, not personal
beliefs or majority opinions.
1. There is truth—truth that everyone should believe.
Relativism is the idea that truth, morality, and knowledge
aren't absolute but depend on a person's culture, history, or
individual perspective.

Relative truth contradicts itself.
2. Jesus came to testify to that truth—he is the key witness.
The Bible has the power to convince people that Jesus'
testimony is true.
John 14:6 ESV
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jesus is the Truth.
God calls His people to be different. We are called to speak
truth boldly, to reject falsehood, and to bear witness to Christ
in both word and action.
