• Love God, Connect with Others, Serve the World

    1. Love God

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:37–38

The first step in SouthGate Church’s discipleship process—and the foundation of any meaningful, life-changing walk with God—is to Love God.

This begins by learning who He is and recognizing what He has done for us. As we understand more about God's character and His incredible love, our hearts respond in worship, obedience, and trust. Through our Sunday morning Worship Services and SG Kids Ministries, you and your family will experience solid, Bible-based teaching designed to deepen your understanding of God’s Word, His will for your life, and the redemption He offers through His Son, Jesus Christ. During worship, you’ll also have the opportunity to encounter God in a deep and personal way. As we grow in our knowledge of Him and experience His presence, our faith naturally strengthens, leading us into a more intimate relationship with Him.

Spiritual maturity starts with loving God.

At SouthGate, our desire is to see every person grow in faith, rooted in love for the One who loved us first.

    2. Connect With Others

“By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35

At SouthGate, we believe spiritual growth happens best in community. Our Connections Ministry exists to help you build meaningful, Christ-centered relationships while growing in your faith.

Through a variety of small groups, we provide opportunities to connect with others, deepen your relationship with God, and live out the love of Christ together.

    Connect Groups

    Meet twice a year—in the spring and fall—for 6 to 8 weeks.

    Available for adults and families

    Built-in childcare

With a focus on Bible-based study, spiritual growth, and community-building, these groups are perfect for those looking to grow in faith while connecting with others in a relaxed, encouraging environment.

    Life Groups

These are social connection groups based on shared interests or activities.

Whether it’s hiking, books, sports, cars, crafts, or coffee—you’ll find a group where you can enjoy life together with fellow believers.

    Growth Groups

These are spiritually focused gatherings—open to men, women, or coed—that dive deeper into Scripture and discipleship.

If you're ready to grow in your walk with Christ and be sharpened by others, Growth Groups are a great fit.

    Step 3: Serve the World

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10 (Also see: Mark 10:43–45; Galatians 6:9–10)

The third step in SouthGate Church’s discipleship process challenges every believer to look beyond themselves and respond to the needs of others. A spiritually mature follower of Christ is someone who does the following: loves God deeply; connects in meaningful, life-giving relationships; and lives out the servant heart of Jesus in everyday life. At this stage, faith is no longer just personal—it becomes missional.

    How We Serve

SouthGate Church is committed to providing opportunities for every believer to serve in ways that reflect God’s love and bring real help and hope to others.

You can get involved in a variety of ways:

    Serve in the Church

Use your gifts to build up the body of Christ—whether in kids' ministry, media, worship, hospitality, prayer, or leadership.

    Reach the Community

We’re actively involved in meeting needs right here in our local neighborhoods through outreach events, service projects, and partnerships with local ministries.

    Impact the World

We support and participate in global missions, regularly sending financial support and teams to serve Christian missionaries and organizations around the world.

    You were created with purpose.

Serving isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are. At SouthGate, we believe that changing the world begins with serving one person at a time.

  • Our Statement of Faith

    Statement of Faith

91st Psalm Ministries, Inc., SouthGate Church is an non-denominational fellowship believing the

inspired Word of God as the all-sufficient guide for our faith.

    We believe:

    ● The Bible to be the only infallible Word of God.

    ● There is one God, eternal in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

    1 John 5:7; Matt 28:19; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 1:1; Luke 3:21-22

    ● In the deity of Jesus Christ--born of a virgin, living without sin, performing miracles, offering the atonement and resurrection, bringing salvation, and ushering in the second coming.

    Luke 1:26-37; Colossians 2:9; John 3:31-36; John 14:6

    ● The sinful man must be transformed by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, who empowers the Christian to live a godly life sharing with others.

    John 14:17,24; Acts 2; Ephesians 2:8-10

    ● In the resurrection of Christians to eternal life and the lost to the perdition.

    John 3:16; Romans 5:9-11; John 3:3; 1 Peter 1:23

    ● In water baptism by immersion as an outward expression of an inward determination.

    John 1:32-34; Luke 3:21-22

    ● In the spiritual unity of all believers in Jesus Christ.

    John 17:20-23

    ● All human life is sacred and created by God in His image. We believe that human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are, therefore, called to defend, protect, and value all human life.

    Psalm 139

    ● God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as a male or female. These two distinct,

complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. We believe that rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. Our commitment is to love those who struggle with the sin and state of gender dysphoria and/or same sex attraction. By love we do not mean agree with, affirm or enable. We will love those by listening to, praying with and presenting a biblical worldview, consistent with the 91st Psalm Ministries Statement of Faith, that invites all into a relationship with Christ. It is through a relationship with Christ that the indwelling Holy Spirit confronts sin(s), empowers us to deny our fallen nature along with its tendencies/expressions, and transforms our hearts and lifestyles to and for the glory of God.

    Genesis 1:26-27; Jude 1:3,17-23; 1 John 4:1; James 4:7; 2 Corinthians 5:17;

    Matthew 16:24; Galatians 5:16-24; Romans 12:1-2

    ● The term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single,

exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that the institution of marriage is established in scripture as an ordinance that points the world to the relationship which God desires for His church.

    Genesis 2:18-25; Ephesians 5:25-27; Revelations 19:7-9; Revelations 21:2-9; Isaiah 54:5

    ● Marriage is ordained of God and is a spiritual and physical union in which a man and a woman are

joined by God to live together as one. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual

activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

    Genesis 2:24; Mark 10:7

    ● Any form of homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenderism, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and

pornography are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex and identity.

    Genesis 2:24; Genesis 19:5,13; Genesis 26:8-9; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1:26-29;

    1 Corinthians 5:1, 1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4
