Here are some areas where you can get involved:

Safety Team l

Help create a secure and welcoming environment during our services and events. This behind-the-scenes team plays a key role in caring for the safety of our church family.

Ushers led by Ron Troth

Be a friendly face that welcomes people into the sanctuary, helps them find seats, and supports the flow of the service.

Children’s Church led by Tina Showalter

Invest in the next generation! Serve with our SGKids team and help teach Bible truths in a fun, engaging way for children Pre-K through 6th grade.

Hospitality led by Olga Guerra and her assistant: Cindy Iberra

From coffee to connection, this team makes people feel at home with warm smiles and thoughtful service on Sunday mornings and at events.

First Touch Team led by Tina Showalter

Be the first impression! Greet guests at the door, help them get connected, and create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.

Media Ministry:

Lights and Sound led by: Kris Hayes

From operating cameras and sound systems to running slides, livestreams, lights, and more—this dedicated group ensures that every worship service, message, and moment is captured with excellence. They work diligently to create an atmosphere where people can focus on God without distractions. The Media Team at SouthGate Church may be behind the cameras, soundboards, and screens—but their impact is front and center every single week.

Whether it's the Sunday livestream that reaches shut-ins and families online, the lyrics on the screen during worship, or the perfectly timed lighting that sets the tone—the Media Team helps make it all happen.

Worship Team led by Alyssa Cowles

At SouthGate Church, worship is more than music; it’s a response to who God is and what He’s done. Our Worship Team leads the congregation into His presence each week through song, creating space for hearts to be encouraged, challenged, and refreshed by the Spirit of God. Whether it's a powerful anthem, a quiet moment of reflection, or spontaneous praise, our singers and musicians serve with excellence and humility, pointing everything back to Jesus.
