Ron and his wife Claire have been foundational to the heart and history of SouthGate Church since its humble beginnings as a Bible study in 1979. With four children and nine grandchildren, their legacy of faith, family, and service runs deep and continues to shape our church today.

Their four children and oldest grandchild are all alumni of 91st Psalm Christian School, and three more grandchildren are currently attending, continuing the legacy of the next generation.

Their oldest daughter Alyssa serves as our worship leader, sharing her love for God through music every Sunday. She also pours into the next generation as an English teacher at 91st Psalm Christian School. All three generations have served or are currently serving in various areas of ministry.

Ron currently serves as our Director of Ushers, leading with humility, strength, and quiet faithfulness. Ron may be a quiet one, but when he speaks, it carries weight. He’s often the voice least expected, but he offers a divine perspective that brings clarity, wisdom, and peace. His calm presence and Spirit-led insight are a gift to our church family. Ron reflects a deep faith and a God-given perspective. His quiet strength, humble service, and steady presence make a big impact at SouthGate—often in ways most people never even see.

Ron and Claire’s dedication has helped lay the physical and spiritual foundation of SouthGate. We are so blessed by their enduring presence, quiet leadership, and steadfast love for God’s kingdom.
