Kris is married to Jamie, a teacher at 91st Psalm, and together they have three wonderful children. Kris earned a bachelor’s in Christian studies with an emphasis in Youth Ministry and a master’s in leadership from Grand Canyon University. He has worked at Grand Canyon University in a variety of roles for over 15 years.

Kris first attended SouthGate in 2004, serving in the youth ministry and now faithfully serving in the sound and media booth. After college, Kris and Jamie were part of a church plant in Peoria, AZ, serving on the original launch team. Kris later became an elder there, assisting with teaching and finances, before returning home to SouthGate. Together Kris and Jamie lead our Young Adults group.

Jamie serves on our Women’s Ministry team, and in our Children’s Ministry. She loves diving deep into the Bible, and anything with numbers. Their three children are actively involved in church and sports: Kinsley serves in Children’s Ministry, Parker shares his love of jokes on Family Sunday, and Bennett loves all things sport. As a family, they love camping, fishing, and hiking whenever they have the opportunity for quality time together.
